2nd Billericay Scout Troop 'DRAGONS' |
![]() |
If you would like to join the Troop, please contact us for more information.
We believe that Scouting is fun, so we try to have fun in all things we do, whether it is Training or Social, to do this we have a basic structure which we try to follow :-
- Meetings will be held every Wednesday of term time, beginning at 8pm and ending at 9:30, occasionally over running. |
- Scouts will work towards progressive awards and should gain at least two proficiency badges a year. |
- For the last meeting of every other month we hope to have an outing, for which the scouts will need no more than £ 5. |
- During the year we intend to run the youth proficiency scheme of the National Small-bore Riffle Association. |
- We will have several weekend and a 1 week camp incorporating different activities each year, including access to International Events. |
| The Troop are currently working towards their Navigators Badge, which involves using Maps, Compasses and Global Positioning Systems. As part of the badge requirements the Scouts are taking part in Geocaching and have created their own Geocaches and released a Geocoin which will hopefully be moved to every county in England and Wales. To see where the Geocion has been click here to see a map of counties visited. |
